I’ve been researching and I’m interested in getting a 20-year term life insurance policy for $500,000. It’s just me (36/m) and my wife (27/f) as the beneficiary.
This interest sparked when a friend approached me about a policy through New York Life, which seems to have a AAA rating. However, I’m unsure if I should get more quotes or consider other more reputable companies.
Do you have any companies you recommend (or recommend avoiding)?
Also, what is a normal price per month for the highest health rating a person can get?
If you ever wish to go from temporary insurance to permanent insurance, PennMutual is your best bet. Therefore, of the businesses you mentioned, I would pick them. Having said that, if your goal is to become financially independent in ten years, I would advise consulting with a financial counselor who can guide you toward long-term decisions. They’re not all bad.
