Hello people, how long do you normally have to pay premiums for whole life insurance policies, for those who have experience with them? What elements influence how long a whole life insurance plan’s premium payment period lasts?
I presume that everyone simply buys term till 60-65 and does nothing else.
Hi,Pay premiums on a whole life insurance policy throughout your lifetime, with coverage lasting until death. Some policies may allow for premium payments to cease after a certain age.
For status the term life insurance has a set duration, but whole life insurance lasts for the insured person’s lifetime. The majority of whole life insurance have level premiums, which means your monthly payment will remain constant.
That will probably buy you roughly 25 years. This gives you enough time to use them for transfer.
Caleb, thanks for the info! It’s important to understand that whole life insurance has continuous monthly payments for the duration of the policy, whereas term life insurance has a fixed period.
