Ethos vs Local broker

I need to get a term life insurance policy. Is there any reason to avoid Ethos with instant approval and go through a broker instead, even if it takes a few weeks?

Also, if I choose Ethos now, will it affect my approval chances if I decide to go through a broker in a few months?

Thanks!

It’s mostly about the price. Being your own broker and sticking to your principles might be easy, but you’ll end up paying a bit more for skipping the medical exam part.
If you’re in good health, the extra cost might not be too bad, but it’s still there. You’ll notice it more if you’re getting a bigger insurance payout or need coverage for a longer time.
I’ve had clients who switched from Ethos to me(am a broker), and I’ve always found them a cheaper policy with the same coverage.
It all comes down to how much you value your time and how urgently you need the insurance policy.

The difference between going directly to Ethos and going through a broker is pretty minute. There is no reason to avoid them.

Let me let you in one of the secrets;

I’m a broker and have a contract with Ethos (the same link you’d use directly with them, but it includes my agent code). I also work with Haven, Bestow, Plum, Breeze, and a few others.

There are a lot of us brokers out there. You can get all the same policies from a broker for the same price, plus we’ll help ensure you’re getting the best option for your needs.

So, my advice is to find a broker who offers both choices. That way, you can easily weigh the convenience versus the cost.
