Do NOT use Prudential for any life inaurances

I can not believe how corrupt they are. My mother passed and they will not pay the claims out.

It’s been 2 months and we keep getting the run around. Send us paper work. We will send it. They say wlthey got.it and it looks good and we will be paid in 2 weeks. 2 weeks go by no payment we call back they say they need to start over

There are large policies and they are stalling, lying and making up stories and reasons for why they can’t pay

Last excuse was they never got the death certificate. Even though we have it audio recorded and emailed that they did receive it multiple times

Horrible horrible corrupt company

Honestly 95% of the time it’s not because of malicious intent but really people just suck at their jobs cuz the training provided is absolute shit

Maybe it was shit for a reason? So the life policies aren’t paid out due to incompetence and not due to intentional “fraud”…

In most states, you earn interest on death claims not paid within 30 days. If you need to go to court, most states will cover your attorney’s fees, regardless of how high they are. However, you haven’t shared the details of the situation. For some cases, like a relatively new policy, a 60-day delay can be normal.

That is frustrating and many carriers do have poor customer service.

If the agent that sold your mother the policy cannot help you, then you really need to get a manager in claims dept involved. Get managers name, phone extension and email if you can, so you can easily follow up with them.

Ideal if you have copies of everything you submitted so you can easily show proof…even though you shouldn’t have to, but as you know by now insurance companies can have terrible service.

Good luck!

You need to read the policy carefully. Most people do not, they sign and trust the agent.
