Hi y’all, I’m considering a career change and have been researching job opportunities in the insurance industry. I recently came across American Income Life (AIL) and was wondering if anyone here has any experience working with them or knows someone who does. I’ve read some mixed reviews online and wanted to get some firsthand feedback before moving forward. Any insights would be greatly appreciated! TIA

Yes, of course! I spent a year working for AIL. Although commission-based and potentially highly lucrative, it demands commitment to sales. The management was helpful and the training was extensive. Well worth thinking about if you like sales and a fast-paced setting!

I highly advise keeping your distance from this company… thank me later.

American Income Life (AIL) is an option, but be sure to do your research. They’re commission-based, so income depends on your sales skills. Reviews are mixed, with some loving the earning potential and others finding it tough. They offer training, but it’s a pretty independent gig. Talk to AIL reps directly and look for a variety of reviews online to get a better feel. Remember, insurance has many paths. Explore other companies and roles to find the perfect fit for you.

I recently learned that, despite them charging me $70 a month since then, my insurance, which I filled out in 2022 (for the second time, incidentally), never got processed. They’re attempting to sign me up once more by cold contacting me right now. If the company did anything besides cold contact you from the agent’s personal phone and never leave a message, that would be wonderful to know. Whether IDC is a reputable organization or not, this has seemed like a scam from the first phone conversation.
