A family member of mine passed away recently, and the life insurance company said we can’t collect the full amount. Does anyone know why?

Apparently, they said it’s because she hadn’t listed her medical conditions, as if anyone would know the cause of death ahead of time!

Is the policy less than 2-3 years old?
Some guaranteed issue policies don’t pay a full benefit in the first 2-3 years of the policy.

Im not sure but either ither after those years is it full payment?? Ill have to check tbh

It could depend on a few things. What type of policy is it? Is it active, or did it lapse at any point? Were there any missed payments? What was the expected death benefit?
